Want to know what to eat to stay healthy this flu season?

My smoked chicken sausage and cabbage soup is GUARANTEED to ward off that annoying flu.
And best part…it’s low in carb and tastes amazing!
Anti- flu Soup
Ingredients:
- 1 lb smoked chicken sausage
- 2 carrots (medium) chopped
- 1 stalk celery chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 green cabbage (small) chopped
- 3 leeks (medium) chopped
- 6 cups chicken or vegetable stock
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tbsp olive or coconut oil
- salt and pepper
Directions:
- Add sausage to a large pot and cook over for 5-6 mins.
- 2. Once browned move sausage to a plate and cut into small pieces
- 3. Add the oil, leeks, carrots and celery to the pot, and sauce for 5 mins.
- Then add the cabbage and garlic, and sauté for 4 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the stock, Italian seasoning, bay leaf, cooked sausage.
- Continue cooking until the soup reaches a simmer.
- Then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 15 mins.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
