Counting Calories Makes you Fat
Did you know counting calories makes you fat?
I’m a little pissed at all the miss-information about getting lean out there.
For instance, so many people are taught that you can get a lean sexy body by reducing your calories – BULL!
It’s downright wrong that the BIG food corporations do to fatten their wallet (no pun intended) at OUR expense.
So today I’m going to cut through all the B.S. and just get down to the simple truth about what you need to do to get REALLY lean.
And if anyone is qualified to tell you it’s me, especially since I used to be over 70lbs overweight.
So here’s the deal.
No matter how many calories you eat, (within reason) storing fat comes down to one thing – Insulin.
When there is insulin in your bloodstream, your fat cells “suck up” all the calories you ate.
When there is not elevated insulin levels in your blood stream, you rarely store what you just ate in your fat cells, and we actually RELEASE FAT.
The THREE BIGGEST CULPRITS that spike your insulin are:
1 -Sugar
2 – Flour
3 – Starch
So here’s 3 tips on how to substitute and avoid these top 3 offenders.
For sugar, use Stevia – It’s an all natural organic extract from a leaf that’s 10x’s sweeter than sugar, but doesn’t effect your
insulin levels.
You can substitute traditional flour with almond flour. (It actually tastes better in my opinion)
And you can substitute starch with veggies.
For example, you can have cauliflower mashed potatoes instead of actual potatoes…
Just boil cauliflower in chicken broth, then drain the broth, add salt and pepper and mash em up!
This is why counting calories can make you fat.
Sooooo good!
