Before you get it twisted… GUYS, this applies to YOU too…

This post may be a bit of a reality check for some people.

I’m mostly talking to the girls, but like I said, it relates to GUYS TOO.

You see, there are some girls who are super fit, lean, strong and healthy…

Then there are other girls who aren’t, but are getting better everyday (mad respect for these girls 🙂

Then there are other girls who are just stuck…
Going through the motions.

These girls THINK the really fit girls are like that because they are different.

But most of them are just like you…

Or at least they started out just like you.

BUT, here’s the problem I see.

After doing this (fitness) thing professionally for 19 years, there are definitely patterns that FIT girls have vs. girls who are STUCK.

Here are 5 test questions from habits I’ve seen from “fit” girls over the last 19 years.

#1 Are you consistent?– Fit girls are consistent. They are in it for the long haul.

Fit girls don’t go hard for 3 weeks then disappear for a week or two.

When they find something that WORKS, they STICK with it.

#2 Do you act like a grown azz woman?– Girls who are stuck make excuses like, “I’d look like ‘that’ too but I like to eat.”

We all like to do things.

I’d like to sleep in until 10am and then lay on the couch and watch TV.

But I wouldn’t get very far if I did that.

So I sort of do that a little on the weekends.

But during the week I’m a workhorse.

Fit girls eat CLEAN during the week and DIRTY (within reason) on the weekends.

Grown A$$ women know what they want, and make SMART (not necessarily the easy) choices to get it.

#3 Do you hustle? Just come early to boot camp and observe.

The fittest girls don’t hustle because they’re fit, they’re fit because they hustle.

Fit girls realize this 45 min workout is a privilege, not a chore.

It’s a PRIVILEGE to have the OPPORTUNITY to IMPROVE yourself little by little each day.

Because, let’s be real, if you’re not improving in the right direction, you’re probably declining in the wrong direction.

#4 Do you laugh at pain?– Our workout is one of the toughest (IS the toughest actually) in Orange County.

When a trainer comes up to a fit girl to give them an extra push, something interesting happens.

The more it hurts, the more they smile or laugh at how ridiculous this moment is…

Then, when the set is done, they look you in the eye, SMILE and say THANK YOU…

They run… RUN, not walk, to the next station.

#5. Do you have a specific purpose? – In other words, fit girls have GOALS, they are not just there going through the motions.

If you didn’t have GPS or a smart phone you wouldn’t get in your car and drive to Yosemite unless you mapped it out first.

In fact… When was the last time you got in your car and started driving without having a clue where you wanted to go?

That wouldn’t last long, right?

So how can you consistently get up, workout and eat healthy unless you have a specific destination or goal you want to get to.

Being fit is more about having a healthy “can do, will do, must do” attitude than anything else.
